AML Onboarding Analyst

BitPay is looking for an AML Onboarding Analyst to join our Legal and Risk team. As an AML Onboarding Analyst, you will play a critical role in the onboarding of new merchants by conducting KYC/KYB, customer due diligence, and help build compliance the compliance program. If you possess a positive attitude, a keen interest in compliance, and a strong desire to learn, this remote position offers an excellent opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate new merchant applications in accordance with our internal onboarding procedures
• Regularly review and monitor merchant account details to ensure compliance with legal requirements and adherence to our Terms of Use
• Assist in customer due diligence projects 
• Engage with customers via email to address compliance-related inquiries and provide guidance
• Ensure appropriate documentation and screening of new and existing merchants has been completed and refreshed in accordance with our internal procedures
• Prepare detailed KYC profiles for merchants and conduct periodic reviews of merchants on an ongoing basis
• Other projects as needed

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience, preferably within the financial services industry or related support or customer service roles
• Collaborative team player with a positive sense of humor
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated with meticulous attention to detail
• Quick learner, eager to learn and grow in a fast paced and dynamic environment 
• Self-driven with the ability to excel in high-pressure situations
• Located in either the Eastern or Central US time zones
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or  Criminal Justice.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior KYC and/or compliance experience
